Mother’s Day is this Sunday. Wow, that sure crept up fast. And sure, you may not be having mom over for a lovely dinner or going out for brunch, but that doesn’t mean you can’t spoil her rotten curb-side!
Since we’re not going to be heading to the mall, this year you might need to get a little creative. Really, that creativity is a good thing, since it usually means gifts that are more personal and take some time and effort. And let’s face it – mom is worth it!
This year, roll up your sleeves and make mom a CBD bath bomb (or 2 or 3), for the ultimate in relaxation!
CBD Bath Bomb Recipe
A hot bath is great for your physical and mental health. What could be better than relaxing in the tub with a scented candle burning, a good book, maybe even a glass of wine? How about a soothing, CBD bath bomb!
CBD bath bombs are great. They combine all the benefits of a hot bath (relaxed muscles, improved blood flow, cleared sinuses, reduced stress) with the power of CBD itself!
They can also be pretty expensive though, so if you want to buy more than one, you could be wracking up a hefty bill.
The thing is, bath bombs are super easy to make, and you can get all the ingredients you need at the grocery store. With a little time, you can save a lot of money.
Here’s how to make a CBD bath bomb at home.
What You’ll Need
For 1 large CBD bath bomb (or a few smaller ones), you’ll need:
- 1 cup of baking soda
- 1/8 cup of cornstarch
- 1/8 cup of Epsom salts
- 1/2 cup of citric acid
- 1 tablespoon of CBD oil
- 1 teaspoon of your favorite essential oil (we love lavender for the extra dose of stress relief)
- 1 teaspoon of water
Want to make a bigger batch so you have some for yourself? Just double the recipe!
These are so simple to make. They take about 10 minutes.
Step #1: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the baking soda, cornstarch, Epsom salts, and citric acid. Set this bowl aside.
Step #2: In another bowl, combine the CBD oil, the essential oil, and water.
Step #3: Slowly blend the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Don’t take too long though – you don’t want it to get too dry before the mixture is in the molds.
Step #4: Fill your mold.
Now, you can buy a fancy spherical mold or just use an ice cube tray. Even a muffin tin will work. You just need something that you can pack the mixture into really, really well.
Step #5: Leave the molds to dry and set overnight (or for a few days just to make sure they’re super dry). Once they’re set, take them out of the molds and package them up nicely and you’re good to go.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! Thank you for everything 💕
