CBD Spa Day: Time for a Little Self Care

Spas all across the country are embracing the beauty of CBD. It has become popular in salons and massage therapy centres, and for good reason.

From massage and facials, to masks and lotions, CBD offers versatility when it comes to self care.

But you don’t actually have to leave the house or shell out big bucks to get the benefits. There are plenty of ways to bring CBD into your self care routine at home.

It’s time for a DIY CBD spa day. Here’s how to take your next one to a higher level.

CBD Spa Day

CBD’s hydrating and soothing properties make it a spa day go-to. You can recreate the CBD spa treatment experience at home with one of these “services” – just sit back, relax, and soak up those feel good vibes!

1. CBD Tea

What’s the first thing that happens when you head into a spa? You get treated to a nice cup of soothing tea. So, why not start the same way at home?

To make one, just steep your tea, let it sit for a bit, then add some CBD to your cup!

We’ve got some great combos to pair for all different situations right here.

2. CBD Bath Bomb

Begin your CBD spa treatment with a nice soak in the tub.

CBD bath bombs are great. They combine all the benefits of a hot bath (relaxed muscles, improved blood flow, cleared sinuses, reduced stress) with the power of CBD itself!

But instead of buying some expensive ones, just make your own. It’s far more cost effectives and you can customize them to suit your wants/needs. Add your favorite essential oils to the mix, like lavender for calm and stress relief, or sunny citrus for a nice pick me up!

3. Face Mask

Now, once you’re out of the tub, it’s time to pamper.

Head to the kitchen and prep a nice CBD face mask. Once it’s done, lather it on, sit back with your eyes closed, and let the CBD work its magic on your Endocannabinoid System.

Here’s a recipe for one to soothe the skin:

  • 1 tbsp plain yogurt (go with full fat) or kefir
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp CBD oil
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon

Mix the ingredients together well and slather it on your face. Leave it for 10-15 mins, then rinse with warm water.

We also have one for dry skin and acne-prone skin at this post.

4. CBD Body Lotion

Once your face is fresh and glowing, it’s time to give the rest of your body a little TLC.

Of course, we’ve done CBD for everything so far, and we’re not planning on stopping now. So, get yourself a nice moisturizing CBD body lotion, or, again, make one yourself. The theme of this post is DIY after all.

With a few simple ingredients, you can whip up a batch in no time.

This recipe gives you the anti-inflammatory benefits of CBD, plus the hydrating and soothing benefits of shea butter and coconut oil. Add your favorite essential oil for the added stress relief or energy boost, and of course that incredible smell.

5. CBD Massage

Finish up the ultimate spa day with a nice relaxing massage.

Research shows massage can be good for all kinds of things – anxiety, digestion, stress, pain, headaches, and of course just general relaxation.

Now, you can definitely do this on your own, but you may also want to recruit a friend to get those hard-to-reach spots.

Warm up those hands, take a little CBD, and work it in. Here are a few other tips to do (or get) a nice massage with CBD at home.

Whether you’re stressed, bored, or just want to treat yourself, a CBD spa day offers everything you need to reset and unwind – with all the benefits this amazing cannabinoid has to offer. Enjoy!
